Solitude

To walk alone,
How differently it can be viewed.

For one man it seems like eternity,
For the other it’s seems the end is too soon.

These differences lie as a result of where there minds like to be.
For the first man,
The outer world is his reality.

But for the second,
There’s something valuable about being in your thoughts.
About being alone
And fighting against your own thoughts.

Yesterday day I listened to DAMN,
The magnum opus of Kendrick Lamar.
In that he said,
He thought it was him against the world,
Only to conquer it and find he was battling himself all along.

It seems that were our own greatest enemy,
Our own greatest critic
And centerpiece.

Yet we somehow take what others say so critically.

Validationed should come from inside onself.
Battle in your mind to ask
Am I proud of myself?
